whereBritish teaching that fits around family life. TutorBugs provides high-quality online British tuition for children preparing for important examinations and children who need additional academic support. Our approach is simple. We don’t believe children need more work for the sake of it. They need the right teaching, at the right level, with enough time to understand what they’re learning. Whether your child is preparing for the 11+, working towards SATs or GCSEs, or needs personalised 1-to-1 support in Maths or English, we focus on building genuine understanding and confidence.
What We Offer
Prepare with purpose. TutorBugs helps students prepare for key academic milestones with structured and focused teaching designed around their goals. Our programmes will cover: * 11+ preparation * KS2 SATs preparation * GCSE preparation. Students won’t simply be taught how to get an answer, they’ll develop the knowledge, techniques and confidence needed to tackle questions independently. From strengthening the basics to working through exam-style questions, our programmes are designed to help students understand what they’re learning and become more confident in applying it. The goal? Walk into the exam feeling prepared, capable and confident.
Learn together. Progress individually. Our small-group classes combine expert teaching with the benefits of learning alongside other students. Students attend a structured weekly live lesson with their tutor and classmates, giving them the opportunity to: * Ask questions * Take part in lessons * Learn from other students * Develop their understanding * Practise what they’ve learned Keeping groups small means students can participate while the tutor can still focus on their learning. And when the lesson is over, the learning doesn’t have to stop. Every lesson is recorded and uploaded to the student’s dashboard.
Your classroom doesn’t disappear when the lesson ends. Every live lesson is recorded and uploaded to the student’s dashboard, allowing students to watch it again whenever they need. Missed a lesson? Watch it. Forgot how to solve something? Rewatch it. Need more time to understand a difficult topic? Pause, rewind and watch again. Students can revisit lessons as many times as they need, allowing them to learn at a pace that works for them. Joining after the course has started? No problem. If a programme begins in September and a student joins in October, the previous lessons will already be available in their dashboard. They can work through the recordings and catch up on the programme rather than starting from the beginning. Learn it once. Revisit it whenever you need.
Education with a clear academic pathway. TutorBugs is built around the British education system, helping students develop the knowledge and skills expected at each stage of their education. Our programmes are designed to support students across different stages of their academic journey, including: KS2 → 11+ → KS3 → GCSE Lessons are structured around the relevant curriculum and, where applicable, the requirements of the relevant examination. Students aren’t simply given random tutoring exercises. They’re following a structured learning journey designed to help them build their knowledge step by step. Learn today. Build for tomorrow.
Personalised support built around your child. Sometimes a student needs more individual attention. That’s why TutorBugs will also offer personalised 1-to-1 tutoring, designed around each student’s individual needs and goals. Sessions can focus on: * Areas where a student needs extra support * Topics they find challenging * Exam preparation * Building confidence * Catching up * Working ahead * School and curriculum support. Rather than following the pace of a group, the lesson can focus specifically on what that student needs most. Whether they need to strengthen their foundations or push themselves further, 1-to-1 tutoring gives them dedicated time with their tutor. One student. One tutor. One personalised learning experience.
Know what you’ve learned. Know what’s next. Every student has their own personalised learning dashboard, helping them keep track of their journey through the programme. Students can see: * ✅ Lessons they’ve completed * 📚 Lessons still to complete * ▶️ Recorded lessons available to watch * 📝 Worksheets they’ve completed * 🎯 Areas that still need attention. This means students don’t have to wonder: “What have I done?” “What do I need to catch up on?” “What’s next?” It’s all there in one place. Parents can also see their child’s progress, giving them a clearer picture of how their child is getting on. A clear learning journey, from the first lesson to the final goal.
Learning doesn’t stop at the screen. Watching a lesson is only part of learning. Students need the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice. That’s why TutorBugs provides downloadable worksheets and practice materials alongside lessons. Students can: Download → Print → Complete → Review. They can work through their worksheets at home and revisit them when they need extra practice. The aim isn’t simply to watch a lesson and move on. It’s to help students go from: “I understand it.” to “I can do it myself.” Because understanding something is one thing. Being able to use it independently is another.
More than just another tutoring platform. At TutorBugs, the goal isn’t simply to get students through another lesson. It’s to help them become more confident, capable and independent learners. Our approach brings together: Expert teaching + Small-group learning + Recorded lessons + Practice materials + Personalised progress tracking. Students have multiple opportunities to learn, practise, revisit and improve. Because progress doesn’t happen just because a student watched a lesson. It happens when they: Understand it. Practise it. Revisit it. Apply it. Master it. That’s the TutorBugs approach.
